I'm a mad sonamy fan, hence my username. I'm also mad with other pairings too, like Shadouge and out-of-Sonic-related pairings, like Pokeshipping (Ash x Misty from pokemon). I think of my pairings every single day of my life...even at school. There are too many pairings I like to name them all, but these are my favourites in no particular order:

My Fancharacter:
My fancharacter in Sonic is called 'Crystal'. She is a maroon Hedgehog with crystals for spikes along with maroon spikes. She is really playful, and always cracks a joke even at the worst of times. Anyone can see that she will have a good, jokey (is that a word?) death.
She promotes sonamy strongly. She even teases Sonic and Amy for it. However, if anyone forces the pairing to be true without Sonic or Amy's permission, she gets mad. She wants to keep the pairing as natural as possible.
Crystal likes food very much. However, she doesn't always have enough time to have it. She likes spicy food (including chillidogs) and sweet food (like chocolate and biscuits) as well. However, among all of these, she LOVES pie. She always grabs a piece of pie whenever she has chance. That's why any friends close to Crystal try to keep her eyes away from any pie around her.
Crystal likes pairings more than her own crushes. However, she always had a thing for Shadow - they had been through so much together. But then she had to leave for Nocturnus, thinking that was what she was supposed to do after she read Proffessor Gerald's diary, believing her own was not detailed enough. However, she regretted that fact as soon as she left, asking Shadow to take care of himself...and the rest of the world.
She really liked Sonic too; she slowly started caring for Sonic a bit more than a friend soon after he turned into a werehog. Crystal and Chip became BFFs later on too.
Crystal doesn't mean to barge in to conversations. It's just her personality. She usually does this when couples start to form or when a argument is taking place.
